Comparing linguistic traits of speakers
Forensic phonetics is an interdisciplinary linguistic practice where the characteristics of speech are investigated and compared.
Creating speaker profiles
A speaker profile created through forensic phonetics will describe the speaker’s language and dialectal background, including special traits that are distinctive for the individual. A similar analysis can be used for trying to determine whether the speaker is the same on two different recordings.
Our forensic phonetics analysis practice adheres to the methodological and ethical guidelines of the International Association for Forensic Phonetics and Acoustics.
